King George Chase Odds

The 2018 King George VI Chase is shaping up well with Might Bite the defending champion and being well fancied to repeat the trick for Nicky Henderson.

Other contenders in the betting include Thistlecrack, who won the race in 2016, and Waiting Patiently, who impressed last season and looks the ideal type for the Kempton.

The King George VI Chase is always one of the highlights of the season with some of the best three mile chasers in training clashing in one of the most important races on the calendar.

Might Bite goes into the race as the defending champion but off the back of a terrible run in the Betfair Chase which has blown the contest wide open. The Nicky Henderson trained chaser will need to re-find his best form if he is to have a chance against some top class rivals.

Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Native River cannot be ruled out for Colin Tizzard, with the Dorset trainer also hoping that 2017 winner Thistlecrack can find his old spark having also been beaten in the Betfair Chase at Haydock.

Waiting Patiently is the joker in the pack who looks ready to run a big race for Ruth Jefferson. The 7-year-old has not been seen since winning the Ascot Chase back in Feburary ahead of Cue Card which is a worry give the lack of prep but plenty believe he is the up and coming young horse i the field who looks ready to jump into equine stardom.
